Homa & Dominik | Kusecphotography | Germany, Eutin Castle | Wedding photography
There is a big story for us behind this Hamburg – Eutin wedding in Germany and it’s one of those things that give you the feeling that everything is just how it should to be.
Dominik sent us a message literally morning after we decided to start our own photography business, saying they were getting married and they wanted Goran to be their photographer.
The story how Goran met Homa & Dominik goes three years back on a wedding in Hamburg which he was photographing and Dominik was the best man. Years went by and they decided to contact us for their wedding and at that moment they found out we started our own studio. We skyped a little later and made plans for their big day in Sinio, Italy, in July. A few days later we skyped again and Homa & Dominik asked us to capture their civil wedding in Eutin too… we just looked at each other, with a really good feeling of starting something new and special. Today, we are not just clients and photographers, we are friends looking forward to seeing each other once again in Italy on a new adventure together.
It was a pleasure to spend the day at this magnificent location with Homa & Dominik and their dear friends and families at Schloss Eutin which is located in Eutin, north German district of Ostholstein. The castle of Eutin was founded in the 12th century; the four-winged palace originated from a medieval castle and was expanded over several centuries into a Residenz. The former Baroque garden, French styled park, was converted during the 18th and 19th century into an English landscape garden. With the end of monarchy the castle was used as a museum. It features majestic tree-lined avenues, grand old trees and a small sun temple, while Lake Eutin itself is incorporated into the park landscape. Part of the land is given over to the open-air stage for the annual Eutin Festival – every July and August, a season of operas and operettas are performed on the stage. Back to the wedding now:)
Homa & Dominik had their civil wedding in the castle after which they had a small ceremony in the chapel. It was a pleasant spring day, everyone was relaxed and happy, you could just feel the good atmosphere. When both ceremonies were over, guests had some refreshments while we took a small walk around the location for some wedding photos:) After that we had a short drive to a restaurant where delicious dinner was served after a few emotional speeches. There will also be a video behind this story which was filmed by Stanislav.
Next stop – Italy! Till then, enjoy some photos from their beautiful wedding in Germany:)
